This role is part of BRP's newly defined Finance and Human Resources Centre of Excellence (CoE FIN and HR). This group is made up of experts in operational and technical processes in several fields. These experts will provide support and continuous improvement to enable the company and the organization as a whole to achieve its future growth goals and objectives.

Reporting to the Technical Team Leader (CoE FIN and HR), the Thomson Reuters Solutions Functional Analyst is responsible for converting business analyses performed by business analysts into technical roadmaps detailing designs and configurations.

The position requires good communication skills and business acumen and ideally expertise in tax management and global business management. In this position, you will work closely with business analysts, architects, the development team and managers, as well as the business sectors involved.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Offer evidence-based advice and evaluations related to technology tools or programs.
  • Assess the needs and objectives of the product management tower.
  • Advise on the best solutions to meet requirements.
  • Use data analysis and research to provide design recommendations and configurations.
  • Carry out issue investigations.
  • Provide deployment support and optimize application design.
  • Develop document solution specifications.
  • Provide technical advice and coaching to support team members.
  • Convert business requirements into specific HR solutions for complex projects.
  • Write functional specifications to document all detailed implementation information.
  • Analyze the interdependencies between functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Work closely with the business sectors and integrators involved at BRP.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Good technical and functional knowledge of Thomson Reuters' OneSource solutions (OneSource determination, OneSource compliance, OneSource GT and OneSource Tax) or equivalent with a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in tax management systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational and technical writing skills.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or in English on a daily basis.
  • A bachelor's degree or a college degree with relevant training and certification in information systems
  • Motivated to achieve the highest standards of ethical conduct.
