The Performance Capacity Analytics and Integrated IT Service Management Department is currently looking for an Advisor, Performance Capacity Advanced Analytics to join the team.

This department ensures that all aspects, whether current or future, of the infrastructure's capacity and performance satisfy business needs in a timely manner while making sure that services remain stable.

You will help develop and use the various means, tools and methods to collect, consolidate, model and visualize data. You will advise and assist a dedicated clientele and partners in a proactive manner to ensure service stability. You will propose improvement or optimization solutions to establish governance, help with decision making and have an overall view of the condition of the infrastructure. The nature of the files and projects will require in-depth expertise in your field of activity.

Your role will involve analyzing and modelling problems and situations related to the capacity and performance of various technology layers. You will assist the more experienced professionals in your unit on various projects. You will participate in developing opinions and appropriate implementation plans according to the results of your analysis. You will develop recommendations, solutions and action plans in line with the organization's orientations and objectives. You will help the team to solve complex problems. This will require close analysis and an in-depth understanding of the line of business and technology infrastructure. Coordination is critical, and you will interact with various stakeholders who work in complementary fields. Highly developed interpersonal skills are therefore essential.

You will act as a resource person in your field for your unit, for a dedicated clientele and for partners.

General Information on the Position

Additional responsibilties

  • Diagnose the issues, challenges, needs and problems to be resolved with the operations teams, in requests for patches of moderate to high complexity, IT services, rollouts and post-rollout activities, in order to agree on the desired outcomes.
  • Monitor the condition of the infrastructure, analyze the capacity and performance information, conduct studies, develop and propose recommendations, and draft reports.
  • Develop, establish and ensure infrastructure services performance criteria with stakeholders.
  • Support projects (analyze equipment load, produce usage reports, etc.)
  • Develop and implement objectives, processes, methods, development tools, solutions and action plans.
  • Support and contribute to incident management with operations
  • Coordinate delivery activities for technology solutions
  • Acquire, process and use capacity and performance data

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Experience in extracting and manipulating large datasets
  • Professional or academic experience in the application of machine learning and deep learning algorithms with supervised and unsupervised data (an asset)

Specific knowledge

  • Proficient speaker, advanced knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of different types of data (structured and unstructured) and the appropriate modelling method
  • Knowledge of and ability to communicate complex algorithms and to justify the logical approach used to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Knowledge of mega data technology (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Cassandra, Spark, etc.) and advanced analytics (Azure Machine Learning, Google Cloud Machine Learning, SAS Grid, Splunk, etc.) (an asset)
  • Knowledge of project delivery using the Waterfall or Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency in the use of advanced data science techniques (statistical modelling, machine learning or data visualization)
  • Knowledge of Desjardins (an asset)
