The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team and help us build a high-quality, world-class scalable, and efficient data platform. If you enjoy working with talented engineers, massive datasets, finding the best-in-class solutions to satisfy business needs, and love tackling challenging problems, you are very welcome!
Key Responsibilites
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data pipelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Scala, Java, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of data.
- Build and improve batch and real-time data processing solutions to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data health and system reliability.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in big data and data engineering.
Who You Are
- You have 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Scala and Java programming languages (knowledge of Python would be a plus).
- Strong technical background in software development, streaming technologies, data engineering, and big data technologies (such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Delta Lakes, etc.)
- Experience with Databricks for data exploration and analysis.
- Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB, Druid, Neo4j, etc.).
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools is a plus.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiar with storage technologies Adept at problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, teamwork abilities, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiar with cloud computing such as AWS and GCP.
