The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team and help us build a high-quality, world-class scalable, and efficient data platform. Key Responsibilites

    • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data pipelines.
    • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Scala, Java, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of data.
    • Build and improve batch and real-time data processing solutions to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data health and system reliability.
    • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in big data and data engineering.

Who You Are

    • You have 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in Scala and Java programming languages (knowledge of Python would be a plus).
    • Strong technical background in software development, streaming technologies, data engineering, and big data technologies (such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Delta Lakes, etc.)
    • Experience with Databricks for data exploration and analysis.
    • Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB, Druid, Neo4j, etc.).
    • Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools is a plus.
    • Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Familiar with storage technologies Adept at problem-solving and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent communication, teamwork abilities, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Familiar with cloud computing such as AWS and GCP.
