The Senior Business Analyst will lead high impact projects to deliver on the firm’s strategic plan and work closely with executive stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of transformational capabilities. We are looking for someone with the right mix of analytical and organizational capabilities, balanced by a strong sense of empathy and intuition. This is a role that is well suited to an entrepreneurial, highly collaborative person who will savor the challenge of identifying, validating, building and delivering solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive execution of strategic projects – setup appropriate project governance, develop the global delivery plan, lead collaboration between departments, define business requirements, ensure periodic incremental delivery, testing, and successful implementation;
  • Create a governance structure for managing complex projects that involve multiple business, technology and control partners;
  • Represent the needs of stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, providing expertise and working knowledge of various business operations processes in the asset management industry;
  • Own various project organizational activities such as risk and issue monitoring and mitigation, operation and information risk management, status reporting and delivery governance;
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of requirements, assumptions, changes in scope etc. associated with project and establish an audit trail to demonstrate these activities have been addressed;
  • Works with the project team, internal customers, staff and consultants to establish critical quality control checkpoints, including acceptance criteria sign-off, project schedule and timeline commitments, critical path definition, training, and project status reporting;
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management deliverables for their successful completion, including implementation plans, schedule, budget, issues & action item logs, meeting minutes, risks assessment and contingencies;
  • Monitor project costs and resource allocations to ensure investment is used in the best interests of the firm;
  • Set client expectations, maintain communication with key stakeholders while ensuring a great customer experience;
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to problems faced by the business units.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • 3+ years in successfully managing large projects involving business and technology deliverables, including:
    • Development of a strategic project management plan encompassing schedule, budgetary, contractual, human resource and stakeholder elements;
    • Define business requirements, ensure periodic incremental delivery, testing, and successful implementation;
    • Risk and issue monitoring and mitigation, operation and information risk management, status reporting and delivery governance;
  • 3+ years in delivering solutions or driving change in the asset/investment management industry, with proven understanding of functions like portfolio management, trade and order management, performance, risk and data analytics, valuations, client onboarding, reporting, billing, compliance, cash management, etc.;
  • 2+ years in business/product analysis, with a proven ability to identify and promoting process optimization;
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, information systems, computer science or similar field;
  • Ability to work with key business partners, to build and maintain a project roadmap that can be used to drive delivery priorities;
  • Have a user-centric mindset throughout the product development process;
  • Consistently up-to-date with the latest design trends and best practices;
  • Open to new tools and methodologies yet opinionated about best practices;
  • Applied knowledge of user testing and validation techniques to help guide product decisions through user testing and iterative feedback loops;
  • Very strong communication skills and know how to influence without authority.
