Job Summary:

Supports the manager with the management reporting processes, global consolidation & analysis needs of the organization. Will perform additional analyses as assigned, used in the development of business procedures, strategies and tactics. Will also manage the CSA Group's needs in respect of intercompany transactions & agreements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Manager, Global Reporting & Analysis in the monthly consolidation and reporting process.

  • Develops, interprets and implements financial and accounting techniques for financial planning and control. Implements these concepts and techniques across global subsidiaries during the monthly close.

  • Supports in the coordination and consolidation of the monthly financial reports from the regions and in the production of the monthly management report, including coordination of incoming information from reporting offices for consolidation and for use in detailed variance analyses prepared for the monthly reporting package.

  • Conducts follow-up and investigation of significant discrepancies/variances noted in the information provided by the regions, to resolve these on a timely basis.

  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheets and cash flows from regional controllers.

  • Conducts special investigations and various financial statement analyses on a monthly basis.

  • Monitors monthly financial reports - in particular, with respect to variance analysis and follow-up with global subsidiaries.

  • Establishes and maintains a database of pertinent information or use in analyzing monthly results, budgets and re-forecasting;

  • In collaboration other senior members of the Corporate Finance team, identifies ways to improve current processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and provide value add to the organization;

  • Coordinates the monthly intercompany reconciliations with global finance team as well as cash-flow requirements;

  • Supports the Finance team with management/tracking of intercompany loan and management agreements;

  • Provides support to global operations (re: SAP/reporting queries);

  • Responsible for reconciliation of balance sheet (consolidation - i.e. Balancing of retained earnings/elimination entries);

  • Responsible for maintaining reconciliations relating to CCIC & Minority interests; and

  • May assist in preparation of information on due diligence for future acquisitions and/or integrations across the globe.

Education and Experience:

  • University degree, preferably in Accounting.

  • A designation is desirable (CMA, CGA or CA, CPA).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of business experience in an accounting and financial environment and in analytical/financial analysis.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated, client service oriented and comfortable working to performance commitments with a minimum amount of supervision.

  • Be very familiar with ERP systems and procedures in an accounting environment and be proficient in the use of windows on a personal computer.

  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
