What you'll do:

The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst position will contribute to the development, oversight and usage of CTC's risk management directives. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, the Risk Analyst will act in the 2nd line of defense capacity in supporting the team to ensure risk standards and procedures are used effectively to manage enterprise risk. Using strong relationship management and analytical skills, you will work with business partners across the Bank and Canadian Tire Corporation to maintain robust processes for identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring and reporting on risks. You will promote a positive risk management culture within CTC while acting as a contact point between risk management, the business and various stakeholders.

  • Support the Manager in the maintenance of an enterprise-wide risk management program, including tools and processes for identifying, measuring, monitoring, and reporting on risks to ensure risks are appropriately assessed and managed.

  • Support 1st and 2nd line of Defense activities to mature the enterprise risk management program and risk methodologies.

  • Perform data analytics to identify and monitor risk indicators tolerances for top risk scenarios.

  • Enhance risk management monitoring and reporting by gathering reporting data and assisting in the development of dashboards and key performance reports.

  • Identify trends by analyzing risk deficiencies, risk events, tests and exercises, including supporting root cause and lessons learned analysis.

  • Leverage current industry best practices to understand emerging risks, and work to identify and implement continuous program improvement opportunities.

  • Work closely with and develop strong relationships across the organization.

  • Support quarterly, annual, and ad hoc Audit Committee and Board reporting.

  • Assist with continuous improvement of risk programs, processes and policies and in-depth data analysis.

  • Produce dashboards, charts etc. to enhance data visualization of existing reports and deliver insights through analysis of various internal and external data sets and benchmarking.

  • Keep abreast of emerging risk and trends within the Canadian and global landscapes and assess potential impacts.

  • Support internal risk management training.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

What you've done:

  • 1-2 years of work experience in risk management, internal audit or equivalent business experience is considered an asset.

  • University degree or college diploma in a business related discipline.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Access and Power Point).

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
