Reporting to the Senior Manager, CRM Solutions (Data, Analytics and Solutions), the CRM Analyst (Salesforce Analyst) gathers, analyzes, defines and translates requirements and supports operational and development processes within the environment.

We are open for the role to be based anywhere in Canada.


  • Gathers, analyzes, defines and translates requirements for various teams, managers, decision-makers and departments.
  • Supports the intake, prioritization, and tracking of enhancements or bug fixes in the Salesforce Backlog (Agile “grooming”) in consultation with team members and business leads
  • Develop sprint and project plans (where required) to manage the delivery of new features and functionality.
  • Evaluate and recommend third party tools and applications (e.g. Salesforce AppExchange) solutions and add-ons to enhance the CRM system(s) by mapping functional requirements to technical solutions.
  • Recommend and design business and technical processes and workflows to meet business requirements.
  • Act as a SME for key business and technical processes within Salesforce and the ecosystem (e.g. related tools and integration).
  • Liaise with technical resources to troubleshoot process, automation and technical issues, when required.
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans to assess the integrity and accuracy of business processes, CRM module functionality setups and modifications, enhancements, customizations, and patches.
  • Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training to users as required.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation and consider compliance in all business process analysis and redesign activities (e.g. security, data and functionality).
  • Provide guidance for system/process workflow template development and data filtering criteria within CRM system(s).
  • Identify, analyze and recommend data mapping and coding schemes for new features or data imports. Work with the data integration team to convert business coding and logic into technical integration processes, where required.
  • Ensure consistency of CRM usage conventions, compliance with best practices, and integrity of data.
  • Works in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations and Canadian Cancer Society health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Post-secondary education in business analysis, information technology or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in CRM solutions, data analysis, gathering and translating requirements.
  • Experience with CRM implementations, fundraising or volunteer solutions such as Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce an asset.
  • Experience gathering and consolidating requirements from cross-functional groups in person or remotely.
  • Knowledge of CRM technologies (e.g. Salesforce) and related technology solutions.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills as well as listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet constantly changing timelines.
  • Proven experience in developing process documentation and visualizations.
  • Superb problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated analytical and qualitative abilities.
  • Intermediate skills within MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
