We are looking for a Business Analyst to support our business growth in Toronto. The Business Analyst will work closely with the senior leadership teams to understand business requirements and enable technology builders to map those onto finished products. You will be managing multiple workstreams and employ your expertise in ensuring that the IT solution platform remains effective, scalable, and robust, ensuring best in class security protocols. You will be expected to successfully lead the business analysis phase using an Agile Operating Model. This role requires demonstrated advanced knowledge of agile methodology with the ability to apply the principles of all aspects including creation of user stories, refinement, analysis, and prioritization. Expertise around using JIRA boards, Kanban and other project management tools will be vital. The ability to run and manage standups as well as remaining abreast with sprint statuses will be instrumental in being able to meet delivery timelines. The Business Analyst will be required to work with the IT solutions team to craft an optimized solution architecture for all products and services to be launched hence, the ability to grasp tech stacks along with an understanding of how data bases connect will be important.

How you will contribute:

  • Collaborate with diverse business and technology partners, as well as vendors, across all project phases, from initiation to implementation.
  • Drive the creation of user stories for the company's issuance products, facilitating seamless communication between business, technology, and external vendors to shape developer requirements.
  • Work closely with UI/UX developers to craft transaction and product usage journeys, and oversee operational process flows setup before product launch.
  • Lead and oversee end-to-end delivery of requirements, ensuring alignment with business and enterprise strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take charge of scoping processes for new deliverables and existing initiatives, participating in planning and leading efforts.
  • Support and contribute to communication and change management activities to ensure smooth project transitions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Requirements Management Life Cycle (RMLC), Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC), and Agile methodologies.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to other business analysts to foster their professional development.


What you bring to the table:

  • Min 5 years experience as a BA leading financial product launches
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in digital payments or credit card industry, experience working with FinTech, or banks will be an advantage.
  • An understanding of the North American Credit Card or Payments ecosystem will be a significant advantage.
  • Deep expert knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project life cycle will be key.
  • Familiarity with key industry legislations or the ability to quickly grasp these will be required.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of project management methodology, including both waterfall and agile practices.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with the Quality Assurance process including carrying out test results review, defect resolution, process optimization and user story mapping will be key.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and an appreciation of wearing multiple hats will be necessary.
  • Demonstrating, living, and breathing the Ownership value remains imperative within this role.
  • Ability to answer or research questions about the work effort being led.
