Your role on our team: Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis ("FP&A"), the Junior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the FP&A Team in completing forecasting, management reporting, and analysis for entities within the Minto Group.

The Junior Financial Reporting Analyst will be highly motivated and expected to exhibit high attention to detail while working on financial analysis. Other valued attributes include a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and capacity to work independently.

In this role, you will:

  • Supporting the FP&A team to ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables
  • Data entry and data manipulation in financial models
  • Assisting withthe preparation of the monthly cashflows
  • Assisting withquarterly forecasts
  • Assisting with the preparation of board reporting materials
  • Assisting with the continuous improvement of budgeting and forecasting models; and
  • Responding to ad hoc financial queries and performing special projects as assigned

We would like you to have:

Experience:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises ("ASPE")
  • Experience preparing cashflows and/or financial analysis is an asset
  • Experience with Yardi, Workiva and OneStream is considered an asset
  • Ability to grasp new technology tools
  • Interest in pursuing the CPA or CFA designation

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail; this includes evaluating and recommending possible improvements.
  • Ability to function efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to frequently transition between working independently and supporting team initiatives; and
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with team members and other departments
