Sr. Functional Analyst (SD/MM)
– Mississauga, Ontario

The main responsibilities of the Functional Analyst (SD/MM) include conducting analyses, measuring various areas of performance and developing process improvement initiatives. This position is also required to assist in reviewing or creating documentation pertaining to technical fields. The position reports to the Manager of IT Applications.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing tasks through all project lifecycle phases (requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support) for IT initiatives
  • Identifying Gaps between AS-IS and TO-BE business processes and fixing the gaps by means of optimized solutions
  • Working cohesively with Business Process Owners to ensure business process design and supporting SAP configuration and developments are in line with the business needs
  • Configuration, development, maintenance and enhancement of various sales and procurement related processes in SAP Sales & Distribution, materials management, warehouse management and Finance & Controlling module
  • Production support of existing processes in SAP SD, MM, LE, WM and FICO modules
  • Translate end-user requirements, Identify gaps and work with technical team to develop functional and technical specifications, including business process impact
  • Participates in strategic business initiatives to deliver new SAP system functionalities
  • Leads the solution testing efforts by developing test plans and test scripts, preparing test environments, coordinating UAT and validating test results
  • Maintain proper level of documentation for all changes including requirements, functional specifications, testing as well end-user and training documentation
  • Collaborate with other teams from Domtar Corporate IT to design and deploy effective IT solutions, ensuring stability and continuity in IT operations
  • Provide support in SAP Security including authorization traces and recommended changes to existing roles
  • Comply with audit and security standards and policies to ensure compliance. Assist with compliance reporting for various SOX controls, including working with business users to provide information related to controls
  • Functional experience in web portal applications, FIORI apps is a plus
  • Knowledge of B2B Integration of SAP and external systems and interfaces to SAP is a plus
  • Working knowledge in SAP WM & FICO related design/configuration is a plus

The Successful Incumbent will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 – 12 years of experience in an Information Technology systems analysis function, working with end-users to translate business requirements into systems specifications and solutions
  • Minimum 7+ years of SAP SD, MM implementation and support maintenance experience
  • Deep Knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution, Material management and Logistic Execution modules is a must
  • SAP ECC 6.0 experience a must
  • Experience in SAP implementation, SAP Upgrade and support model is highly desired
  • At least two full life cycle SAP Implementations experience
  • Strong Process and functional knowledge with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with teams or independently with flexibility to quickly learn new applications and software
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks or work streams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in EDI/ ALE, Idocs, B2B integrations with Idoc monitoring and error analysis is a plus
  • Digital Transformation and SAP Upgrade experience preferred
  • Wholesale distribution business model knowledge is an asset
  • SAP certification in Order Management, Material management is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of SAP security is an asset
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
