What you will be doing!
  • Reviewing spreadsheets and date metrics to formulate adverse trends and patterns
  • Working interactively to develop mitigation strategies and plans to minimize negative performance impacts
  • Creating value by unlocking and sharing data and information in ways which will spur innovation.
  • Working with business and IT, Finance, Program Management Office leaders to identify areas of technical needs for future reporting and modelling capabilities.
  • Driving the development and deployment of the annual plans and planning cycle, including development and refresh of the 5- and 10-year plans.
  • Providing Advice and Guidance to the various GS planning teams during data analytics and forward planning strategies
  • Providing leadership/guidance to development of the Annual Plan of Work and Budget (APWB), including the provision of related planning targets
  • Providing leadership and guidance for both CSI targets and the proposal and approval process of forward planned CSI scope.
  • Leading and/or serves on steering committees and helps leadership use its data effectively across the organization.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent education with work experience.
  • CPA Preferred
  • PMP Preferred
  • At least 5 years' experience defining strategic initiatives and overseeing the development of long-term plans and proposals.
  • 10 years of progressively responsible relevant experience in business and project planning, including creating partnerships, utilization of Power BI and other data integration strategies, and understanding the underlying technologies needed to enable productivity and innovation across a midsized or large organization.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and variance mitigation strategies.
  • Proven experience driving business, culture, and technology change in dynamic and complex operating environments
  • High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate, allocate, and manage resources and projects throughout multiple teams.
  • Information management and quantitative skills, including working knowledge of IT infrastructure, various technologies/platforms.
  • Highly developed communication skills and analytical skills, written, oral, and presentation skills with proven track record of effectively communicating actionable insights.
  • Strong diplomatic skills and ability to help senior business leaders see value, opportunities, and risks beyond their own area of expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and the ability to understand problems from a broad perspective and anticipate the impact of administrative issues and solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to be an active listener, build solid rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner along with leadership and functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to map joint organizational vision and long-term thinking, imagination, and idea generation.
  • Ability to be impetus on agenda items and when to develop, rest, or advance something.
  • Extensive experience and feeling at ease with working with all levels of management and clientele.
  • Knowledge of trends and developments in the fields of data management and data analytics
  • Industry-specific knowledge of EVMS guidelines and planning specifics
  • Experience in utilization of P6 planning tool, and extraction and drill down of related planning data
  • Demonstrated experience with developing strategy, policies, and procedures, as well as successfully executing programs that meet or exceed expectations in a dynamic environment; experience creating tools and capabilities to assist with data patterns & trends
  • Familiar with all aspects and protocols in relation to Change Management, Change Requests and Organizational Change
Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.

Location of Work - Hybrid
  • This role is based out of CNL's Chalk River site, however, subject to the terms of this agreement, the primary work location will be remote. The role will require some regular and frequent attendance at the Chalk River site. The schedule and frequency will be determined by discussions with the manager as well as internal client and project needs. CNL may require travel from time to time, as necessary.
