Evaluation Survey Coordinator & Data Analyst (12-Month Mat leave coverage)

Full-Time Temporary Employment – One (1) Year Contract – From 3 June, 2024 to 30 May 2025


The Evaluation team at Mitacs supports the ongoing assessment of the outputs and outcomes of Mitacs funding. Reporting to the Director of Evaluation, the Evaluation Data Analyst will manage the organization, analyses and presentation of performance related survey data collected from program participants..

Duties:

  • Organize, clean, and prepare exit and longitudinal survey data for analysis.
  • Maintain existing Power BI dashboards containing survey data.
  • Create new Power BI dashboards highlighting survey data for external audiences.
  • Respond to ongoing government contract requirements with data from surveys.
  • Conduct special ad hoc analysis utilizing survey data for corporate communication products.
  • Communicate findings from survey analysis to staff and external audiences by creating PowerPoint presentations and written reports.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree with specialization in statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced in advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SPSS or similar software and online survey tools (e.g. SimpleSurvey).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and a methodical approach to work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible, proactive, efficient and resourceful.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within teams and independently, and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with and interest in Canada’s innovation ecosystem and innovation priorities considered an asset.

Hiring Range: $63,920 - $75,905

Salary Range: $63,920 - $95,880
