Messages From Past Coops
“At FI.SPAN, I worked at the intersection of the Product (Engineering) and Sales team, creating and configuring customized product demos aimed at potential customers. I really felt like my work was contributing directly to the success of the company!” - Fall 2017 Coop
“Working at FI.SPAN enabled me to perform duties like pre-configuration of ERP systems, writing sales pitch proposals, and preparing use case documents for major banking software providers. Being able to work at the intersection of both the Product (Engineering) and Sales teams, gave me the opportunity to do work that I was really proud of!” - Fall 2017 Coop
“Working for a startup means doing anything that needs to be done. My first project was building datasets for sales demos, and since then I worked with UX consultants for our product, helped create technical marketing material, started working with our first client to implement our system, and designing processes for our SOC 2 designation. Ultimately, I felt like my work had a direct impact on the company!” - Summer 2017 Coop
“Working for a startup, and especially with FI.SPAN, people often get to wear different hats and work on projects for different departments. I have personally worked with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations in my time here.” - Summer 2017 Coop
“Working at FI.SPAN provided me an opportunity to dig deeper into banking and technology which I was already extremely passionate about learning. The FI.SPAN team is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and invested in helping their interns to grow. As an intern, I was encouraged to think critically and have ownership in my projects as well as stepping into exciting opportunities of business strategy and product development.” - Summer 2018 Coop
“FI.SPAN is a very challenging but rewarding start-up company to intern/co-op for. Unlike larger companies that assign filler work projects, the tasks that FI.SPAN assigns to co-ops actually add authentic strategic or analytical value to the goals of the organization. Overall, if you are looking to work in an engaging and positive environment with a highly motivated and supportive group of people, I absolutely recommend you apply to FI.SPAN.” - Summer 2018
“Completing a Co-op term at FI.SPAN has been an incredible learning opportunity from so many aspects. Within my first few weeks I was already communicating and helping manage projects with some of the largest banks in North America, both from a technical and strategic point of view. Moreover, not only were my fellow co-ops so supportive along the way but so were the rest of my colleagues and I was able to gain a wealth of knowledge from them too.” - Fall 2018
