Typical Day in Role: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control, and Financial Engineering teams. Work closely with stakeholders across Canada, US and Europe mainly with Sales and Trade teams. Provide weekly updates to stake holders organize spring planning and execution. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; translate them into clear specifications for development teams. Develop detailed documentation, including business requirements, workflows, and process diagrams. Perform gap analysis between current and target states and propose scalable solutions aligned with business and regulatory needs. Leverage domain expertise in equity and fixed income products to support project success. Operate within an Agile environment, participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning and stand-ups. Support production issue analysis and resolution Candidate Value Proposition: This is a high-visibility opportunity to work within a complex and globally impactful business line, contributing in building inhouse Structued Notes Issuance Platform initiative. The role offers: Exposure to derivatives pricing and market risk factors Collaboration with front-to-back office stakeholders Opportunity to influence core trading and valuation systems Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 1) 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including experience with documentation, ability to create workflow diagrams, business requirements 2) 5+ years’ experience in capturing business requirements for building a Derivative Products Trading Application covering Trade Capture, Integration with Pricing Models. 3) 5+ years’ experience with market data used to price derivative instruments 4) 5+ years’ experience with the trade life cycle for derivative products events such as Amend, Unwind, Rate Reset or Fixing Process and Realized Cashflows. 5) 2+ years’ experience with risk watch pricing engine. Nice-To-Have Skills: 1) Advanced Knowledge of derivative financial instruments related to Equity Options, interest rate swaps, Cap/Floor, Inflation asset swaps 2) Unix Scripting 3) Python Scripting 4) Pl/SQL 5) Automated testing experience Soft Skills Required: • Able to document and clearly communicate with stakeholders • Team player Education: Bachelor's degree Strong understanding of: CFA/FRM an asset Trade capture Trade processing Trade lifecycle management Pricing workflows Post-trade processes Experience working closely with: Front Office Risk Management Finance/Accounting Regulatory or Reporting teams Ability to explain specific projects where they: Gathered requirements Mapped business processes Led workshops Delivered trading system enhancements Managed integrations between trading and downstream systems Previous experience within large Canadian banks or Capital Markets environments. Requirements
Requires 10+ years of business analysis experience, including at least five years capturing requirements for derivative trading applications, working with derivative pricing market data, and supporting derivative trade lifecycle events. Also requires experience with the Risk Watch pricing engine; a bachelor's degree is stated, while derivative product knowledge, scripting, PL/SQL, and automated testing are additional assets.
