Job Description What is the opportunity? This is a unique opportunity to drive strategic product initiatives across our Global Rates Cash and Derivatives trading platforms as a Product Owner while leading QA teams. As a Macro E-Trading Product Owner, you'll serve as a key strategic partner to business stakeholders, balancing complex priorities across regions and business sponsors. In this role, you'll help shape the future of our trading applications by combining deep market intelligence, capital markets expertise, and product leadership to deliver end-to-end solutions that drive revenue and manage risk in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. What will you do? Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to work on end-to-end solutions and flows; to resolve complex problems; provide input on business value and effort sizing to inform dev estimates and support delivery planning Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize and meet strategic goals, providing thought leadership and recommendations; manage conflicting priorities across regions and business sponsors to balance tradeoffs of costs and benefits Strategically help to prioritize the book of work based on a deep understanding of market intelligence, the strategic goals of the business, and revenue generation balanced against risk, audit, and compliance requirements; work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever-changing needs of the business Maintain deep understanding of trading applications, how they work, and be able to explain functions as well as problem solve Act as a proxy for the user in helping define requirements Products include Global Cash and Derivatives Manage the Rates QA team, prioritizing QA scope based on business risk and release criticality Provide focus and clarity in communicating individual goals to direct reports, ensuring performance standards for each employee are aligned with those of the business; review performance management and adapt to changing needs as needed What do you need to succeed? Must-have: 7+ years of overall experience with 4+ years of product ownership, or related experience with demonstrated success leading product initiatives and cross-functional teams Deep expertise in Capital Markets and electronic trading flows with the ability to explain complex trading functions and problem-solve effectively Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills with a meticulous attention to detail and passion for quality delivery Advanced communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work effectively across matrix organizations Proven leadership capability to motivate teams, drive performance management, and foster a people-centric, values-based inclusive workplace aligned with RBC's leadership model Proficiency with enterprise collaboration tools including JIRA, Collaborate, and Microsoft Office suite Nice-to-have: Front office experience in sales, trading, or as a broker; direct exposure to the trading desk or client-facing roles Degree in Finance or related field demonstrating formal training in financial services or business discipline What’s in it for you?
