Senior Business Analyst - Payments Modernization (Banking) 📍 Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite) 💰 Pay Rate: Up to $70/hr T4 + 4% Vacation Pay 📅 Contract Duration: October 2026 - October 2027 🔄 Extension Possible: Yes 🏢 Conversion Opportunity: Yes ⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, Core Business Hours About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a high-profile enterprise payments modernization initiative within a leading financial institution. This role will play a key part in delivering complex, cross-functional transformation projects focused on wire payments, EFT, EDI, and payments platform modernization. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, product owners, and QA partners to drive end-to-end requirements management and support strategic payment transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead business requirements activities throughout the full project lifecycle Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements Collaborate with business, technology, operations, and governance stakeholders Identify and manage risks, dependencies, assumptions, and project constraints Support change management activities, including stakeholder and gap analysis Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories Partner with technology teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives Support testing activities, including test strategy, scenario development, and defect resolution Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings across multiple business units Contribute to enterprise project governance and delivery standards Must-Have Qualifications ✅ 8+ years of Business Analysis experience ✅ Experience delivering requirements for large-scale, enterprise-wide projects ✅ Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills ✅ Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, or Payments environments ✅ Strong understanding of Project Delivery Lifecycle (PDLC), Agile, and Iterative methodologies ✅ Proven ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across multiple teams ✅ Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills Nice-to-Have Qualifications Payments modernization experience Wire payments, EFT, or EDI experience Agile requirements delivery experience Business Analysis certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar) Experience working on cross-functional transformation programs Ideal Background Banking or Financial Services industry experience Enterprise Payments experience preferred Experience supporting payment modernization programs Strong track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives Interview Process Round 1: Virtual Interview (Camera On) Round 2: In-Person Interview Target interview date: October 13 Apply If You Have Extensive Business Analysis experience Strong banking and payments domain knowledge Expertise in requirements elicitation and stakeholder engagement Experience working on large enterprise transformation programs The ability to bridge business and technology teams effectively Join a dynamic team driving the future of enterprise payments and modernization initiatives within one of Canada's leading financial institutions.
