Senior Business Analyst/ Change Management Analyst Job Title: Senior Business Analyst/ Change Management Analyst Client: Government of Alberta – Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration Location: Edmonton, Alberta – 10405 Jasper Avenue Work Arrangement: Primarily 100% onsite; occasional remote work may be permitted with notice Contract: Approximately 891.75 hours Hours: 36.25 hours/week, 7.25 hours/day Max Rate: $80 - 90 CAD/hour Positions: 3 Alberta Residency: Required for the contract Estimated Interview Dates: September 21–25, 2026 (onsite) Role Summary Senior Business and Change Management Analyst responsible for business analysis (60%) and change management (40%), supporting complex IT initiatives from planning through implementation and stabilization. Key Responsibilities Lead business analysis and project delivery activities. Conduct discovery sessions, interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering. Develop business cases, process maps, user stories, use cases, and project documentation. Analyze and improve business processes. Support application development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. Facilitate UAT, business readiness, and implementation activities. Develop and execute change management strategies and plans. Conduct stakeholder analysis and change impact assessments. Develop communications, engagement, resistance management, coaching, and training plans. Monitor adoption, utilization, readiness, and organizational change. Support project governance, risk/issue management, and continuous improvement. Present recommendations, options, roadmaps, governance materials, briefing notes, and business cases to senior leadership. Requirements Mandatory Qualifications University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Change Management, Information Systems, or related discipline. 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis, change management, project delivery, or process improvement. Certified Business Analyst (IIBA) or equivalent. Certified Change Management Professional, such as ACMP, Prosci, CMI, or APMG. Key Mandatory Experience Candidates must demonstrate 5+ years of experience in: Integrated plans, portfolio/project reporting, and executive reporting. Strategy execution involving technology, processes, organizational design, and IT operations. Project management. Project documentation and governance. Stakeholder collaboration and engagement. Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, or other SDLC methodologies. Cross-functional teams and detailed requirements. Senior leadership, project scope, goals, roadmaps, governance, briefing notes, and business cases. Project governance, change management, and communications. Nice-to-Have PMP certification Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Clinical application/data integration experience. Change Manager experience on large, complex custom software projects. Complex IT systems, multiple data sources, web services, and legacy systems. Strong business analysis and analytical problem-solving experience. Prosci ADKAR, ACMP, Kotter, or equivalent methodology. Value Stream Mapping and process re-engineering. Public-sector experience.
