Job summary
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst who will act as a vital conduit between the Model Risk Management business stakeholders, and technology teams. The BA will be responsible for translating high-level business needs into detailed requirements, ensuring the resulting platform is robust, scalable, and compliant with all regulatory standards — including Model Risk Management governance frameworks, model validation workflows, and SR 11-7 / SS1/23 regulatory guidance. The candidate must have: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a Model Risk Management, model validation, or familiarity with quantitative risk function in MRM Strong understanding of model risk management principles, including model development, independent validation, model tiering, and ongoing monitoring in accordance with regulatory expectations (SR 11-7, SS1/23, or equivalent). Experience with large-scale data migration projects, including data analysis, mapping, and validation — ideally involving model inventory or risk data. Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), with a proven ability to write clear and effective Epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex MRM governance requirements into detailed technical platform specifications. Experience in Reviewing test cases and supporting the quality assurance process Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders across model risk, technology, audit, and senior leadership levels. This is a contract position and work type is hybrid (3 days on side). Location is Greater Toronto Area.
