Intermediate Business Analyst/ Project Manager

We are looking for an Intermediate Business Analyst/ Project Manager for a 10-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Position is available as hybrid Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Responsibilities Lead the development, approval, and maintenance of the Project Charter, governance structures, and project management plans in alignment with Company IT standards. Direct and perform business analysis activities, including but not limited to requirements elicitation, process mapping, data analysis, user story creation, and business specification documentation to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions. Solution Build Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end design, build, and implementation phases to ensure solutions meet documented functional and non-functional requirements. Drive resource identification, onboarding, daily task coordination, and management of internal team members and external vendors. Baseline and maintain the Master Project Schedule; monitor subcomponents, track milestones, manage the project budget, and enforce schedule adherence. Direct organizational change management (OCM) activities, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain transparent, timely communications across sponsors, business units, and vendors. Implement robust risk/issue management frameworks and deliver weekly status reporting to executive sponsors and stakeholders. Define QA strategies, oversee test planning, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution, manage defect triage, and ensure solution quality prior to production deployment. Lead formal project closing activities, including post-implementation reviews, administrative sign-offs, and final closeout documentation. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Must possess a minimum of five years of documented experience executing combined business analysis and project management functions on enterprise-level projects. 5 or more years of formal IT project management experience. Coordinating multiple related projects and managing the interdependencies among them. Strong, team oriented mindset and demonstrated collaborative, communication and influencing skills.
