Purpose of the function

As a member of the Information Technology / Systems department, the Business Systems Analyst will work in a support role for users throughout the organization with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Information Technology systems.   The Business Systems Analyst will be required to perform various technical and analytical services for his customers across all sites (Canada, USA, Mexico). Expected to act as a partner with all the business units, the candidate will be expected to follow and apply the best practices in his domain. The Business System Analyst will also be asked to participate in important projects such as enabling new modules with our ERP Plex manufacturing amongst others.

Specifically, the person sought will be called to:

  • Answer user's requests, both locally and remotely, for ERP system (Plex Manufacturing) through a desk tool request system;
  • Ensure request systems effectiveness (close/open tickets, organize workshops on demand, etc.);
  • Work with ERP system users and managers to determine appropriate/optimized system configuration;
  • Research, identify, develop, test and implement changes to enhance ERP systems and business processes;
  • Maintain the IT project portfolio updated;
  • Deploy Industry best practices to enhance efficiency of Exo-s throughout Plex Manufacturing modules;
  • Actively participate/lead various problem-solving workshops to meet customers' expectations;
  • Deal with change management while implementing novelties;
  • Support EDI change requests;
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement work ethic;
  • Implement both quick wins and long-term solutions;
  • Provide training to users;


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Management Information Systems or equivalent;
  • Proficient knowledge of Plex manufacturing;
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience; 
  • Knowledge of various Manufacturing business processes / Manufacturing experience is required;
  • Experience in business process mapping, an asset;
  • Strong understanding of integrated systems;
  • Knowledge of SQL code an asset;
  • Experience with Business Intelligence applications (IntelliPlex, Crystal Report, etc.);
  • Experience in application of lean principles;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite 2010, 2016 and Office 365;
  • Strong analytical, innovative problem solving and multi-tasking skills;
  • At ease with a high-volume loading;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Availability to travel (valid passport);
  • Project management experience.
