JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of PCB Production & Process Engineering, the incumbent is responsible for supervising the production operation of the SMT Department in addition to ensuring corporate standards, procedures and policies are met.
Moreover, the Supervisor will actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of the continuous improvement program.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervision of employees :

  • Supervise and manage the production employees with an approach promoting a productive environment while maintaining our commitment to safety, quality and productivity;
  • Coordinate employee workflow (just-in-time environment);
  • Perform employee hiring, performance evaluation, follow-up, and training;
  • Preserve the health and safety of employees and implement all required improvements;
  • Ensure employees are properly trained before performing a new task.

Production management :

  • Plan, organize, and manage department operations;
  • Develop and implement measures and tools that improve workforce, raw material and equipment effectiveness;
  • Apply production improvement procedures with a view of optimizing process effectiveness and reducing production costs;
  • Follow up on production schedules;
  • Improve work quality (through training);
  • Implement new work methods;
  • Coordinate activities to meet the production plan on several work shifts;
  • Perform any other task related to the position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College diploma (in Production/Operations);
  • 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automated electronic components assembly;
  • Bilingual;
  • Organizational skills, team playing abilities, fairness awareness, initiative;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience in implementing and using continuous improvements tools (Kaizen, SMED etc...);
  • Results-oriented personality / thoroughness;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.
