The Management Branch is seeking to fill a temporary position of (Unionized) Workforce Advisor.

REASON FOR POSITION

Reporting to the section head - analysis and development, the advisor will act as an expert and representative of the business component during the completion of each phase of the development projects. He will also be responsible for developing and optimizing the treatment processes and then proceeding with their implementation. Working in a highly regulated environment, the advisor will be in charge of dealing with questions of interpretation or application of the regulation and communicating information to applicants.

TASKS

  • Collaborate as a representative of the business component in each of the phases of IT development project management.
  • Define the business rules necessary for the operation of computerized systems in connection with regulations.
  • Write and perform acceptance tests.
  • Ensure compliance with the specifications sent to the VPTI
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and maintain complete case law on the application of laws and regulations and amendments     relating to the workforce and the mandates of Management.
  • Deal with any question of interpretation or application of the regulation in order to standardize its application. Develop and revise treatment processes and implement them.
  • Disseminate information relating to the application of laws, regulations and amendments relating to the workforce.
  • Identify training needs, prepare and deliver training in relation to mandates and directions.
  • Develop statistics from support tools in the context of their work or to respond to specific requests.
  • Participate in various committees to provide expertise and data and transmit its recommendations.
  • All other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business administration or any other program with an important analytical component);
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Master the appropriate software (knowledge of TFS and SharePoint will be considered an asset)
  • Demonstrate good adaptability and be able to meet a sometimes tight schedule;
  • Have an analytical mind and be rigorous;
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Unionized position, hourly wages between $ 28.00 and $ 49.64 depending on the collective agreement.
Full range of benefits.
Work schedule: one week of five (5) days followed by one week of four (4) days.
