We are looking for an IT Business Analyst for our Cash Services division. The position will be based at Montréal's head office.

Your mission at GardaWorld:

Reporting to the VP IT Solutions, the Business Analyst will become the expert on the processes and applications used by the Cash Services division to provide customer the best service in North America.

As such, you will prepare business requirements documents, build business cases, represent the voice of the customer on projects for the delivery and implementation of a business solution, model both business and IT processes, design innovative and creative software architectures for IT solutions, evaluate project costs and participate in the project management and delivery of the IT solutions.

You will also need to have sufficient technical knowledge to investigate systems/applications related issues and recommend possible remediation.

You will be responsible of:

  • Confer with clients (internal-external) regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs
  • Confer with marketing and sales departments to define client requirements and expectations
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Document business requirements using a formal approach and methodology such as UML, RUP or other formalism
  • Prepare project business cases and project charter that include analyses such as cost-benefit and operational impact
  • Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing
  • Coordinate responsibilities, tasks and deliverables assign to project resources, internal-external partners and third party vendors for the Development, Testing, Go-Live and Implementation period of a project
  • Enforce compliance to project management best practice and SDLC methodology
  • Establish and execute a project communication plan
  • Prepare project status reports and communicate with stakeholders (internal and external customers)
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope

Your profil:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent
  • Bilingual
  • Technical background sufficient to address application development issues like database modeling, file specifications format, XML, writing queries (SQL) and reports (BI) and generic understanding of computer systems
  • Knowledge of modern software architectures and development frameworks (i.e. Web, Cloud, SAAS, Business Intelligence, etc.)
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related informations to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Capacity to work with external software suppliers and customers
  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable
  • Honest and ethical
  • Flexible, open to change and detail oreiented
  • Team player with a cooperative attitude.
