SUMMARY OF EMPLOYMENT

Under the responsibility of the Chief, Health Technologies in Pharmacy, the incumbent acts as a resource to software developers regarding professional community pharmacy operations. In this capacity, he participates in the maintenance of applications and databases, the development of professional software (both those used in the laboratory and those for patients) and the management of user requests. In anticipation of the launch of the updates, he plans and carries out the usability tests, drafts the documentation and communicates the news to the people concerned.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Participates in the evaluation of improvement requests for various professional software. Perform the necessary follow-ups with the users and the help desk.
  • Participates in the collection of information to improve professional software.
  • Identifies the operational needs of users and aligns them with the company's goals.
  • Develops project visions to guide software developers.
  • Work with software developers to answer questions about pharmacy technical operations.
  • Plans the usability testing plans, executes them and documents them.
  • Writes and updates documentation for improvements to professional software.
  • Communicate news to technical training managers and pharmacy employees.
  • Maintains databases and files used by professional software used in the laboratory.
  • Assists the Chief, Health Technologies, in activities related to the development of professional software and supports certain aspects of the projects.
  • Acts as the second level of support for Help Desk staff.
  • Perform any other related tasks

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, business or computer science. Relevant equivalent experience could also be considered.
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years of community pharmacy experience.
  • Possess communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a good analytical capacity, a critical sense and a developed mind.
  • To have rigor and a keen sense of detail.
  • Be dynamic, organized and have the sense of planning.
  • Ability to handle multiple files at a time, and within tight deadlines.
  • Be available for occasional trips in the region.
  • Possess a mastery of French in writing and speaking.
  • Have a working knowledge of English in writing and orally.
  • Know the RxPro software and related applications.
  • Familiarity with the laws and regulations pertaining to the pharmacy field in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick is an asset.
