Brief job description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience using Microsoft SQL Server and creating DTS packages, as well as strong SQL coding skills.
The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting business operations by designing and implementing data extraction, transformation, and loading procedures (ETL) using tools such as DTS, SSIS, or other tools. They are skilled at breaking down complex data sets, verifying data integrity through analysis, and creating reports for internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Data Analyst should have expertise in data modeling and be able to document processes, as well as have experience as a SQL developer. They may also need to interact with clients and suppliers to plan, execute, or resolve data transfer or integrity issues.

Key duties and responsibilities:

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and execute Data INGEST and EXTRACT procedures, analysis routines, and reporting.
  
  • Import and process data from clients, including preliminary validation, and post-import analyses
  • Report on and resolve (or escalate) all data conflicts and/or errors.
  • Extract and export data to clients.
• Design and build ETL processes for new clients: Gather requirements and model ETL solution architecture; work with development teams as required to execute on design and implementation.
• Finance Support: Help finance teams interpret reports based on ingested / transformed data.
• Maintain and improve data structures: Update processes as requirements change, optimize existing gaps in
  data analyses and improve on methodology by using modern data modelling techniques such as dimensional
  modeling and normalization.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by internal stakeholders.
• Manipulate ad-hoc data with Excel or scripts to assist other teams with data needs.
  
  

Skills and qualities sought:

• Experience in data analysis, data manipulation, data architecture, database support (junior) and SQL query optimization
• Expertise in data modelling
• Be able to document data processes using Confluence
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to analyze and optimize data structures for efficient querying and data storage
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Effective communication skills

Requirements:

• DEC in Information technology or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of, and experience with, Transact-SQL or other SQL language
• Knowledge of MS SQL server (2014 / 2016 / 2019) and the Microsoft stack
• Experience with DTS (SQL 2000) and/or SSIS (SQL 2014 +)
• Good knowledge of French and English languages, both written and spoken: MANDATORY
