  • Analyze content of item attributes and specifications from suppliers ensuring validity and accuracy of data.
  • Use discretion and independent judgment regarding NAPA supplier adherence to Genuine Parts Company (GPC) data standards.
  • Responsible for rejecting data from NAPA suppliers.
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with NAPA suppliers from a NAPA product content perspective to protect the supplier as well as NAPA.
  • Creates manufacturer product class codes (MPCCs or Part Type Descriptions) using information provided by the NAPA supplier.
  • Creates and validates product attributes and ensures that product attributes meet GPC attribute standards.
  • Ensures that product attributes that are common to multiple GPC vendors are the same.
  • Provides analysis to business management on the following: missing content, asset management and item type comparisons.
  • Responsible for analyzing content between Premium and Value product lines to ensure no sales are lost to NAPA due to missing content in either product line.
  • Responsible for managing the GPC mismatch policy with NAPA suppliers.

Qualifications

To join our team, you need:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or college diploma and/or any other combination of education and work experience
  • 2+ years of work experience in the automotive industry (retail store, repair shop, manufacturing)
  • 2+ years of experience in automotive standards "ACES" and "PIES".
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ability to learn to work in the GPC PIM (Product Information System) catalog.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Access.
  • Strong data exploration, manipulation, and visualization skills.
  • Demonstrate agility and fluency in written and oral communication in French and English.
  • Ability to understand and communicate business issues and technical concepts.
  • Ability to travel within the United States
