As Functional Analyst, you are responsible for the functional analysis of analytical solutions for several large-scale Desjardins Group projects. You help solve highly complex problems that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business.

General Information on the Position

More specifically, the mission of the Advanced Analytics Foundation Department is to accelerate data leveraging within Desjardins Group and serve as a catalyst for digital transformation.

As part of an Agile team, your role as functional analysis expert is to work closely with your team's business partners and specialists to enhance the analysis and understanding of business needs regarding the design and delivery of end-to-end analytical solutions. You ensure that the chosen solutions are the right ones, and oversee their implementation.

Additionnal responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret business requirements and translate them into functional requirements while ensuring communication with the business partner.
• Summarize an overall vision of an analytical solution that meets business requirements, and development and implementation challenges.
• Design the documentation required for the solution's functional specifications, in accordance with standards and best practices, and test strategies.
• Ensure the link between the architecture and the delivery teams.
• Guide and coach the delivery teams in designing and developing the solution.
• Coordinate various activities from the preparation phase to rollout of the solution; interact with data experts, data scientists and Big Data developers in the implementation of data pipelines and complex models in a Big Data ecosystem.
• Follow up on the various strategies for implementing and adopting the solution.
• Assist the use case Product Owner (PO) in planning and drafting backlog tasks_._
• Take part in preparing training material and in training key users.
• Identify opportunities for improvement; propose and recommend solutions to develop and optimize work methods and processes.
• Adapt to constantly changing technology, and learn and apply new methods to achieve the organization's goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in functional analysis, or other relevant experience in the BI field and/or advanced analytics
• Experience in data traceability and quality
• Experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (an asset)
• Practical experience in estimating tasks(an asset)
• Experience in the detailed design of data architecture solutions (an asset)
