Reporting to the Manager, Systems Integration FTS, the Senior Business Analyst – Finance FTS must assist the Manager with projects as well as the coordination of those projects impacting the Accounts Receivable teams, Accounts Payable and Rebate & Sales Accounting teams. Project coordination is done with all of Domtar’s finance groups. The incumbent is also responsible for developing, implementing, and executing user acceptance testing impacting all pulp and paper sales systems as well as gross to net sales transactions for pulp and paper.

The incumbent will be expected to provide expert functional support and demonstrate leadership to ensure business needs are met. In addition, the incumbent supports the Manager, System Integration FTS in the implementation of changes aimed at optimizing business processes.

The incumbent will have to develop sufficient knowledge of the assigned finance functions within the Financial Transaction Support Group to support FTS teams in projects or for IT service tickets during user acceptance testing.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Provide expert functional support & technical leadership through strong thorough review and analysis to ensure that business needs are met, and the applications are used to their full potential.
• Provide support for requests from FTS Managers in finding business or IT solutions to various projects and / or ad hoc requests.
• Work closely with Finance & IT team members to address technical issues and work with other departments as well as counterparts in other business areas to mitigate risk around shared elements and critical system dependencies.
• Ensure FTS Managers needs are properly represented in the various IT related projects.
• Coordinate the process to test (UAT) and obtain sign-off on the various system changes impacting the FTS teams.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or combination of education or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of experience in accounting and implementation of finance modules.
• Finance related work as well as experience in user acceptance testing would be preferred.
• Experience with complex finance systems, project planning and control are essential.
• Ability to apply knowledge of business system modules relating to the finance business areas and maintain an understanding of interdependencies with other modules.
• Several years of experience with different invoicing or accounting systems (integrated management system or independent system, preferably SAP and JDE).
• Experience working on different accounting systems.
• Intermediaye knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel.
