Canada Post is well positioned to respond to changing consumer habits and requirements given its vast retail network, resources and geographical reach and is currently seeking a Vice President, Retail Transformation to develop and implement creative strategies and plans which leverage and renew its retail network through innovation and customer excellence.  You will evaluate, re-envision and revitalize the retail model at Canada Post to determine how best to attract new revenues, improve profits and create a place where Canadians see value and want to spend time.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for evaluating and implementing innovative changes to the retail network while ensuring postal services remain affordable and available in communities across the country. You will be responsible for achieving aggressive goals with respect to sales growth, marketing product development, asset utilization and efficient management functions by being creative, considering options, driving innovative projects forward and tapping into the potential of a products and services network that spans every region of the country.

As the ideal candidate, you have ten plus years of senior leadership experience, preferably within an e-commerce or national retail environment. You are a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a solid track record of success in setting, managing and achieving performance and operational objectives.  You have expertise in building business plans based on clear, measurable and achievable KPIs and a keen interest in emerging business needs, practices, trends and technologies.

You have a leadership style that is approachable and inclusive and you can inspire a diverse and experienced team to reach new heights of creative thinking, dedication and effectiveness; a passion for innovation and driving projects forward from idea to completion; a change agent with a well-earned reputation for implementing effective action plans which take advantage of opportunities for business growth and diversification. A proven ability to establish positive, collaborative and productive working relationships in a broad multi-stakeholder environment, including franchisees, unions, community leaders and the Board of Directors.

You have superior communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, an innate customer service orientation and can easily learn, retain, and effectively communicate relevant industry information. You can be confident in the quality of your presentations to stakeholders such as the Executive team and the Board as you are highly engaging, always prepared and well organized.

You have a degree in Business or a related field (MBA preferred), as well as the required skills, experience and qualities to help enhance Canada Post's profile as one of the most leading-edge retailers and service providers in the country. Bilingualism would be a strong asset.
