POSITION: Sr. Manager, Lotteries – Jays Care Foundation

TERM: Full-time, Permanent
Director, Marketing, Communications & Lotteries – Jays Care

START DATE: January 2023

The Sr. Manager, Lotteries is responsible for oversight, planning and implementation of Jays Care’s 50/50 program and other raffle initiatives. The ideal candidate has project management experience and is proficient strategic planning, team management, and leveraging data to inform decision-making. The position requires a driven self-starter who is capable of managing a variety of business areas.


  • Oversee Jays Care’s MLB-leading 50/50 program
  • Develop and implement strategic plan to grow Jays Care 50/50 program, which grossed $19 million in sales –combined online and in-stadium – during 2022 season
  • Support the planning and execution of Jays Care’s lottery marketing efforts, including email marketing, social media promotion, and more
  • Manage relationship with 50/50 technology provider and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, surveys, data analytics and other strategies to gain customer insights
  • Develop regular sales reports to support forecasting, planning, and execution
  • Manage all technical aspects of Jays Care’s online 50/50 program including opening, monitoring and closing of online raffle sales
  • Develop and create new marketing opportunities to grow 50/50 buyer base and drive incremental revenue
  • Manage Jays Care’s in-stadium 50/50 Event Manager – responsible for overseeing 50/50 sellers on a game-to-game basis
  • Work collaboratively with broader Jays Care and Blue Jays team
  • Other duties as required


  • Proficiency and experience in project management, strategic planning, and data analysis
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree in Business, Statistics, Project Management, Sports Management, or other related fields
  • 4-10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Willingness to work flexible hours outside of regular 9-5 schedule
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in Shopify, Tableau, and Salesforce considered a strong asset
  • Understanding of and passion for the game of baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays
