Senior Business Analyst – Front to Back

The Role:

Contributes to the overall success of the Front to Back team globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, engagements are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Senior Business Analyst is expected to assist with the effective delivery of the Front to Back program including collaboration with other team members and partners in the diagnosis, mobilization, design and transition to delivery with quick wins.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Assist with the identification of opportunities for improvement across the program's core components; Front to Back Methodology is an approach to simplify, digitalize and automate strategically important customer journeys across front, middle and back-office teams through design to realize tangible benefits
  • Analysis of business processes across value streams, develop hypothesis, synthesize findings, and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of strategies and recommendations, including business benefits and costs
  • Assist with all aspects of the diagnostic, mobilization and design stages - working within cross functional teams.
  • Assist with the facilitation of working sessions
  • Manages personal development to ensure knowledge and skills related to front to back methodology are continually enhanced by:
    • Researching best practices
    • Taking courses designed around people, process and technology
    • Building relationships with internal and external partners
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Champions a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Information Technology or related discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, financial services, consultant, or change transformation
