We are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to work in the School of Continuing Studies for this exciting opportunity.
Are you a Business professional with Information Technology (IT) experience? Do you possess at least 2 years' of experience executing data analysis duties within a business environment? Do you possess experience with reporting and report building? Do you possess exceptional inter-personal skills including the ability to effectively train staff? In this role, you will be responsible for updating, analyzing and reporting on day-to-day performance of various data elements, such as student enrolment and registration data, web analytics, course evaluation data, phone & Live Chat services, and other types of data as made available. The Data Analyst prepares detailed analytics, trend analyses, reports and dashboards for the School's management team. The incumbent will also research, recommend, test, implement and provide user training for software solutions specific to the data collection, analysis and reporting. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of data related to the School, its programs and its students. As a member of the IT team, the Data Analyst's responsibilities also include supporting general IT- related requests as needed. The incumbent will manage a wide range of IT data services and will be responsible for utilizing a customer service orientated approach in order to deliver timely, reliable and accurate results.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
An Undergraduate degree. Preferably in computer science, math/statistics, or business. Or equivalent combination of liberal arts degree with further education/experience in computer science or data analytics. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess a minimum two (2) years of recent work experience in data analysis and related application tools in a business office/results oriented service environment. An understanding of and appreciation for continuing education in an academic environment is desirable. Knowledge of a Student Registration and Information System, and the data contained, is an asset. Experience in managing IT data projects and coordinating effective work flow in a fast- paced office is preferred.
