About the position
Reporting to the Director, Strategy Analysis & System Support in the Funds Management and Banking (FBD) Department, you are primarily responsible, in the context of the Payments Modernization transformation program, for providing business systems analysis to the business line in the context of evolving the operating framework for Banking Operations critical operations, and more specifically in relation to the impacts to the High Availability Banking Systems (HABS), SWIFT, business continuity, non-functional requirements and disaster recovery solutions.
You conduct research and analysis and apply, as required, architectural principles to define, maintain and evolve the structure of Banking Operations in terms of the business processes and information flows associated with the delivery of business line services. You maintain a high degree of collaboration with the operations management group, senior colleagues and other internal stakeholders to create, enhance and maintain operational excellence. You work closely with the Business System Architect to ensure that all processes and information flows are aligned with the technical solutions employed to support the business.
FBD's business stakeholders include the internal owners of applications, the external owners of applications that are used internally (such as Payments Canada with the Large Value Transfer System (LVTS) and the Automated Clearing and Settlement System (ACSS)), the financial institutions, as well as various development and support groups within the Bank (including ITS).

You have knowledge of business analysis techniques, including modelling, functional decomposition, gap analysis, stakeholder analysis and operational risk assessment which enables you to create high-level models used in analysis and have the ability to model business processes and business information flows.
English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
