The Ministry of Finance (MOF) is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a project team working towards a large transformation initiative. We are looking for a professional with excellent change management and communication skills to assist in leading staff and project teams in facilitating and coordinating business systems solutions, service improvements and process changes. As Business Lead, you will provide strategic leadership, advice and project management expertise in the planning, development and delivery of service improvement and expansion strategies.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• liaise with branch senior management and client ministries on the benefits, feasibility and impact of new technologies/services/systems

• initiate, build and maintain business relationships with stakeholders

• provide strategic advice and support by developing and recommending strategies, plans and tactics, recommending new/revised methods/technologies and anticipating, and responding to, emerging business, policy and/or legislative issues

• provide technical leadership to lead business transformational projects, ensuring potential risks are addressed

• lead the preparation of business cases, planning documents, briefing notes and proposals

How do I qualify?

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• you have knowledge of risk management and assessment methods and change management processes to lead business process studies, provide business analysis, and identify technology and service delivery opportunities

• you have knowledge of business and operational planning, performance measurement and quality assurance to meet clients' needs and ensure that services and products are delivered through the use of leading-edge technology, and business processes and practices

Consultation, Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

• you have demonstrated consultation skills and can provide strategic advice to maintain stakeholder relations to:

- determine individual stakeholder service/technology requirements

- maintain ongoing liaison between the ministry, stakeholders and service providers

- apprise management of emerging issues, services and program options

- convey priorities, potential opportunities and other issues, and

- encourage information sharing and partnerships

• you have oral communication, presentation and influencing skills to provide advice and build consensus

• you have written communication skills to develop presentations and prepare business cases, briefings, proposals and reports

Knowledge of Project Management Methodology and Leadership Skills:

• you have knowledge of project management techniques to lead strategic business transformational projects involving multiple clients, including the development of business cases, project plans for resources and costing, terms of reference, and scheduling and monitoring of deliverables

• you have experience leading projects, ensuring business objectives are met

Research, Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

• you demonstrate research, analytical and problem-solving skills to lead analysis of current services/processes/systems, assess the feasibility/implications of business proposals, and new/revised business systems/processes, implementation strategies, and evaluate and identify preferred options and alternatives

Salary Range: $74,877 - $110,338 Per Year
