Executive Summary:

We are seeking a talented PowerBi Business Analyst to lead the effort to document requirements, understand data and workflows, and assist Sales and Service Organizations in designing effective dashboards and reports to visualize the data. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, business liaisons and project leads to drive project planning and execution of complex enterprise reports/dashboards development projects within set project targets and deadlines. You will be an integral part of the commercial team, helping to find and solve problems using data and insights.

The role will report to the Sr. Manager of Global Sales and Service Business Operations within the global Commercial Operations team. He/ She will have the opportunity to interact with and leverage the collective knowledge of our Commercial Operations - which includes: Global Analytics, Market Intelligence, Sales and Service Operations, Data Governance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Commercial PowerBI system
    • Maintenance of Deployment Pipelines, Report Inventory and Access Permissions, based on established standard work/procedures
    • System health monitoring and escalation of issues to SCIEX IT team
    • Maintenance of confluence documentation related to PowerBI models, standard work and business logic
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to create new business intelligence, reporting and data analysis solutions
  • Proactively identify improvements to existing business intelligence processes and reports
  • Provide end-user training on PowerBI reports
  • Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment
  • Develop strong business process understanding across different functional areas
  • Experience with BI systems design and implementation projects
  • Strong understanding of and experience with requirements gathering and documentation
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills

Required Interactions:

  • Be the main point of contact for stakeholders within Sales & Service Organizations for PowerBi Report/Dashboard inquiries and complex data projects
  • Interact well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, gather relevant technical and business requirements, analyzes information and designs comprehensive solutions
  • Work closely with IT department to establish and implement PowerBI best practices
  • Strong collaboration with other members of Global Commercial Operations and Sales Enablement to come up with best in class solutions and propose those ideas to Sales/Service Organization leadership

  • Has familiarity with DBS concepts or willingness to learn, lean principles, and how to apply them in Commercial setting

Education, Qualifications, and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience working as Business Analyst/Developer
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with AI or machine learning models is a plus
  • Experience with project management is a plus
  • Ability to work on multiple project/tasks concurrently
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong understanding of best practices for data modelling
  • Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) is a plus.
