The Senior Business Process Analyst reports to the Head of Project Management Office (PMO) and forms part of a small team working primarily on business process transformation. On a project by project basis, the Senior Business Process Analyst will be responsible for some or all the aspects of a process transformation through its lifecycle. This includes, workshop planning and facilitation, business analysis documentation, and project management of end-to-end, cross-department process improvements in support of transformational projects. In addition to process re-design and implementation, the Senior Business Process Analyst leads end-to-end process design for new capabilities within the organization. The Senior Business Process Analyst consults with staff at all levels and in all departments of British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (bcIMC) and works closely with other internal professionals and external suppliers to deliver results. In addition to process transformation, the process analyst assists in delivering other Enterprise PMO services as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 8 years' experience in a Business Process Analyst or related role
Experience within the pension, financial or investment industry
Previous experience in a formal transformation or operational excellence program
Demonstrated experience in business area analysis, process modeling, data modeling, and project management
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or relevant discipline
Proficient with Microsoft products, including Visio, Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Initiative, drive, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated track record of achieving results in a complex business environment
Use of Lean and Six Sigma principles; Green/Black Belt certification a plus
