Job summary

Position Description CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support complex business and technology transformation. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams, translating business objectives and operational requirements into clearly defined solution requirements. Work Model: On-site, 5 days per week Security Requirements: Canadian Controlled Goods Program eligibility and Canadian Government Reliability and/or Secret Security Clearance eligibility Your future duties and responsibilities Lead requirements elicitation and analysis with business and technical stakeholders. Facilitate interviews, workshops, discovery sessions and requirements reviews. Analyze and document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, systems and information flows. Develop business, functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria. Conduct gap analyses and identify opportunities for process and technology improvements. Translate complex business needs into clear requirements for technical teams. Establish and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Work with solution, infrastructure, security, network and data architects to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements. Perform impact assessments across processes, systems, data, infrastructure and stakeholder groups. Support business cases, options analyses and solution/vendor evaluations. Support testing, including requirements validation, UAT planning and execution and defect resolution. Support implementation, organizational change, training and transition-to-operations activities. Develop process models, workflow diagrams, presentations and decision-support materials. Identify risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions and work collaboratively to resolve them. Act as a trusted liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role 8+ years of progressive Business Analysis experience in complex enterprise environments. Strong experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting and managing business and technical requirements. Demonstrated business-process analysis and process-modelling capabilities. Experience supporting large technology transformation, infrastructure, application or systems-integration initiatives. Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder-management skills. Experience developing business requirements, functional specifications, process models, use cases and/or agile user stories. Knowledge of requirements traceability, change management and testing practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA or similar certification is an asset. Experience in defence, shipbuilding, federal government or another regulated environment is an asset. Security and work requirements Full-time on-site presence in Dartmouth/ Halifax, 5 days per week is required. Candidates must have 5+ years of Canadian residency as required for the assignment and be eligible for Reliability and/or Secret security clearance and the Canadian Controlled Goods Program. CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
