Role Description The Junior Business Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Ottawa, ON. This role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities, and supporting the design of data-driven solutions for clients. The Junior Business Analyst will assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations, collaborate with consultants and technical teams, and participate in client meetings to clarify needs and outcomes. Daily work includes validating data, supporting testing of analytics solutions, and contributing to process improvements and best practices within project teams. Qualifications Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw clear, actionable conclusions. Experience with data tools and methods, such as spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), basic data visualization, and working with structured datasets. Strong communication skills, including the ability to create concise documentation, reports, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration and teamwork abilities, with a focus on working effectively in consulting or project-based environments and adapting to changing client needs. Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and meet project deadlines. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Economics, Data/Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Interest in AI, predictive analytics, and modern data infrastructure; familiarity with basic concepts in these areas is an asset. Previous internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in business analysis, consulting, or data-related roles is considered an advantage.
