Overview

The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Manager of Project Management Office, but most often participates in or leads project teams. The Senior Business Analyst researches business requirements across the Corporation and manages the design and implementation of technology solutions.  The Senior Business Analyst consults with staff at all levels and in all departments of the Corporation and works closely with other internal professionals and external suppliers to deliver results. 

                              

Department Description

The Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) is growing to support its key role in transforming bcIMC's operations to support bcIMC's business strategy and investment model.  PMO directs the selection and delivery of projects in alignment with the strategic business plan. The PMO is customer-focused and value-driven, delivering services for project intake, project portfolio management, business transformation and organizational change management, project standards, reporting, monitoring and support. 

 

Qualifications and Experience

Must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or relevant discipline

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Analyst or related role

  • Demonstrated experience in business area analysis, process modeling, data modeling, and project management

  • Proficient with Microsoft products, including Visio, Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,

  • Initiative, drive, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results in a complex business environment working across a variety of stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience within the pension, financial or investment industry
